Exciting Updates are coming to Uprising MMA.
Transitions can be tough—especially the unexpected ones—but we’re turning this moment into fuel. Our entire team is seizing this opportunity to take our gym to the next level. Thank you for your patience these past few months. Now, it’s time to deliver. You’re our #1 priority, and accountability is our promise.
We’re doubling down on Coach Bethany’s vision: a clear, structured curriculum that builds unshakable fundamentals—whether you’re chasing a title or personal growth.
What’s new:
- Kids Striking program – Watch your child hit clear milestones and level up with confidence.
- New classes starting in June – Kids MMA, plus Kids & Adult Competition classes.
- First milestone: May 28 and 29th testing and Ceremony on the 30th
Requirements for the. Grappling and Striking test:
Gi & No-Gi
- Trap and roll from the mount
- Elbow escape from mount
- Hip bump sweep from guard
- Double leg takedown
Gi only
- Spider guard, butterfly guard, open guard with sleeve grips
Striking Levels
Level 1
- Stance, lateral & linear movement
Level 2
- Jab, cross, lead hook, rear uppercut, lead uppercut
Level 3
- Rear & lead low kicks
- Rear & lead round kicks to the body
- Rear & lead teeps (push kicks)
Looking ahead:
- August – Belt testing (full curriculum) + an in-house tournament. More details coming soon.
